Wednesday Weekly League - Week 7 Results

We had 63 players last night. A lot of new players out there too.

We are now in our latest start times so next week the General will cut off at 5pm and the Hill will tee off at 5:30. Last check in at 5:25pm for Hill. Check in will open for both courses at 4:30pm. Hoping to get The Hill back to the original layout by next weeks league.

**quick plea. Please start on the hole to which you were assigned. You were assigned that hole for a reason and when you arbitrarily pick a different hole to start you on ruin the flow of the entire round for the players around you. Hole assignments are important and you can absolutely walk that extra little bit. This league doesn't work without the cooperation of it's participants. It's also very important that if you are playing The General you must immediately head to your hole and start your round when you have been given that hole assignment. If you're not ready to start playing, don't ask us for a hole assignment.

Skills challenge is divisional. Please keep track of current skills leaders by division as it progresses.

Wednesday Weekly League - Week 6 Results

Results for week 6. We had 21 players on a pretty terrible night weather-wise. It rained steadily through about 2/3rd's of the round then it slowed a little bit. Bruins game 7 surely didn't help with attendance either. As of right now, next week looks warm and sunny. That sounds nice.

We are now in our latest start times so next week the General will cut off at 5pm and the Hill will tee off at 5:30. Last check in at 5:25pm for Hill. Check in will open for both courses at 4:30pm. We'll stay in the Hill Alt configuration for another week or so.

Skills challenge is divisional. Please keep track of current skills leaders by division as it progresses.
ACE: Peter Bean - Hole 7 Hill Alt pin. He wasn't a tag holder so he nets $15.75 instead of the full $110 pot.

Wednesday Weekly League - Week 5 Results

Results for week 5. We had 60 players on the 2018 Hill Yeah layout. At first, I thought this layout would play easier than original Hill but it turned out to be almost 2 strokes harder. I am certain the wind played at least a small factor last night though.

Next week, we are back to either all original or all alternate baskets on the Hill and The General will be back in play. We will also move into our latest start times so the General will cut off at 5pm and the Hill will tee off at 5:30. Last check in at 5:25pm for Hill. Check in will open for both courses at 4:30pm

Wednesday Weekly League - Week 4 Results

Results for week #4. We had our highest turnout of the year with 67 players. The pro pool and the handicap pool side pots are growing so make sure you get in on that action.

Next round, April 18th, will be a Hill only round since the course is in the Hill Yeah Spring Classic layout and we don't have data on that configuration to set a proper handicap between Hill and General. So random hole assignments on the Hill next week and the start time is 5:20pm. Last registration will be at 5:15pm. It won't be possible to accommodate special requests for cardmates like we do for the General. Mix it up a bit and maybe meet a new friend?

Skills challenge is divisional. Please keep track of current skills leaders by division as it progresses.

Wednesday Weekly League - Week 1 Results

And just like that Wednesday league is back in session! We had a threat for snow but it held off and aside from the snow on the ground already the conditions were fine. We had 41 players! A good starting point!

We banked all payouts, didn't collect/distribute tags and didn't run the skills challenge to help get everyone home before the snow.

2018 Tags Are Here!

2018 league season must be approaching! I just picked up this years tags and they look sweet! Thanks to Bob Kulchuk for coordinating.

Tags will be $20 and they will be available @ the Hawks Nest until league begins and once league starts you will be able to purchase yours directly at league. I plan on dropping the tags off on Sunday at some point so let's say they are officially on sale there as of next weekend. Cash only for tags.

The following tags are set aside for season pass holders:
#1 Casey White
#2 Justin Kent
#3 Aaron Little
#4 Greg McWilliams
#5 Bob Kulchuk
#6 Stephen Banatoski
#7 Greg Bianco
#8 Luke Adolph
#9 Alex  Gula
#10 Dean Onners
#11 Brian Dean

Now is a great time to add your name to that season pass holder list! Details below.

We decided to drop the price of season passes for the upcoming league season in an effort to get more people involved in the program. For $140 you will receive prepaid entry into all 31 weeks of Wednesday League and you will receive your 2018 Bag Tag as well. This is a $175 value (7 weeks of free league play!) Hoping to waive the Bonanza fee for pass holders this year too.

Please paypal the money (using the Friends and Family option) to devensdiscgolf@gmail.com with your name & preferred divisional pool designation for the upcoming season.

All players who purchase a 2018 season pass will be eligible for a special raffle at the Bonanza. The prize? A free 2019 season pass, of course!

The discounted season pass will be offered until the end of February but signing up ASAP is very helpful.

It should be another good season with a similar structure as last year. We are thinking about lowering the pro pot entry fee and the handicap calculations will work much better this year. Tim, Bill, Aaron and Luke recently met to discuss the season and it sounds like everything is in place.

2018 league will begin on March 14th and will run through October 10th. The Bag Tag Bonanza will be held on Sunday October 28th.

2017 Bag Tag Bonanza Results

Thanks for a nice day yesterday! This is always my favorite event of the year as we celebrate another successful league season. We had a good crowd of 63 people and the weather was perfect. We'll hash out some details behind the scenes to tweek a few things but I expect a pretty similar set up next year. We'll fix the handicap pool for sure. Maybe adjust the pro pool a little. More on that stuff soon.

Put your pennies away over the winter for a 2018 season pass. I'd like to lower the price by a few bucks after looking at this years pass holder attendance =)

See everyone in mid March!

Wednesday Weekly League - Week 30 Results

Week 30 Results. We had 42 players on a beautiful night.Only 1 week left! Don't forget that the Bag Tag Bonanza is going to be October 28th.

We will move the time down 10 minutes again next week.

ACE: Sean Coyne Hole 9 on the Hill
Pot #1 $0

Pro Pool: Bob Kulchuk $15 & Aaron Little $15

Handicap Pool: Erik Osvold $7

Here is where we stand with 1 week left plus the Bonanza.

A pool:

Casey White - 86 points
Aaron Little - 77
Alex Gula - 77
Greg Bianco - 69

Alex made another huge move this week which put him in a tie for 2nd. Both Alex and Aaron also made up some ground on Casey. There are 10 points available (plus aces) including the Bonanza so 2nd places could still catch Casey but it's unlikely. Greg could potentially catch 2nd or 3rd but it'll be tough. Important to note that Alex still has an attendance  point.

--------
B pool:

John Murin Jr - 88 points
Ryan Shevlin - 81
Brandon Carlson - 77
Sam Misuraca - 74
Ashley Toomey - 69
Kevin Cocci - 68

The top 6 only tightened up a little. Ryan could still catch 1st. Brandon could catch 2nd. Sam, Toomey & Kevin could potentially catch 3rd. There are 10 points still available (plus aces) including the Bonanza.

---------
C pool:

Bill Pacheco - 69 points
Roger Sruton - 68
Paul Sales - 63
Sean Parlon -  54

Top 3 all tied last night so no big movement aside from making it very difficult on Sean to catch 3rd.  There are 10 points still available (plus aces) including the Bonanza.

---------
D Pool:
Ashlee Foley - 56 points
Matt Bourgault - 56
Kim Krieser - 55
Matt Steinberg - 50

Ashlee and Matt B did not attend and Kim gained an attendance point. Very close top 3. Matt S. kept himself in contention with a win last night. There are 10 points still available (plus aces) including the Bonanza.
