Wednesday Weekly League - Week 16 Results

This week brought out another big crowd of 62 players despite the humid and potential stormy weather! It was certainly warm and muggy but not a drop of rain.

Nick Erickson hit his first career ace on Hole 2 and it was worth $157. We had another 2 new players join us so that brings our yearly total to 138 unique players and 950 total players and average of 59.3 players per night. Looking at these stats we have just about DOUBLED our attendance since the 2012 league season and we have increased about 25% since last year. Good stuff!

This portion is for those of you who have not purchased your tag yet want to be part of the end of the year end league tournament (Our Annual Bag Tag Bonanza) and all of the player pack goodies, CTP prizes, free lunch and big raffle prizes. You better buy your tag next week because I only have six left and I may not be buying any more.

Devens Representing Well at Maple Hill Open - Am Side!

The Maple Hill Open - Am Side concludes today with 7 of our local players making the cut to play on the Gold course at Maple Hill.  John Buonsanto has had three great rounds so far including a fantastic 1024 rated 49 on Maple Hill Whites and a solid 994 rated round 55 at Buffumville Dam.  John is in second place JUST ONE STROKE OUT OF FIRST and he tees off at 11:40am this morning so get on over to Maple Hill and cheer him on if you can.

Other players making the cut (only 72 out of 144 make the cut - 66 men and 6 women):

Ashley Toomey is in second place only 4 strokes back from the lead.  Ken Marshall and Bob Kulchuk are tied at 41st place. Taylor Maslowski and Bill Bertera are tied for 22nd and Josh St. Denis is sitting in 17th place.

Trilogy Challenge @ Devens - The Hill - Registration Begins Thursday

FRIDAY July 18th - Check in at Hawks Nest between 10am and 6pm to begin your round.

A unique 3 disc challenge held at the Hill. You will only be allowed to use the discs in the players' pack which will include a driver from Dynamic Discs, a midrange from Latitude 64, and a putter from Westside.

This is a one round, flex start event. You must preregister (link will be forthcoming) at least 1 and 1/2 weeks in advance. Registration will open the evening of June 5th.

Special note: You may play more than one round. It will cost $10 for every additional round you compete for a score to turn in. The additional funds will go directly to the course!

Anyone can play open. I highly recommend that anyone who normally plays open or Am1 play this division. If you really want to compete for the plastic, I will not compel you to move up, but you may be chided
Every dollar above the cost of the players pack will go back directly into the payout
We'll pay the top 30% of finishers, rounded down
Winner will also receive a hand-crafted stone mini made by American Stonecraft and a special disc from the trilogy (tbd based on availability)
